Colors and Screen Resolution
Color perception is unique to each individual and it can also depend on the screen resolution of your phone or computer. That said, we do everything possible to ensure color accuracy. The photos that we take of our rugs are color corrected to match the actual color of the rug as seen in person in natural daylight. Therefore, if the light in your house is different than natural daylight, the colors may appear differently than on the website.
Our vintage items are circa 1970s-1990s.
Folds and Other Issues
Handmade rugs generally lay flat. Give it a couple of weeks and your rug will go back its original state. You can lay some heavy items on the rug to help. The reason for the folds and rumples is because rugs are stored in the warehouse - most probably packed tight and constricted. They need time to adjust. Contrary to machine made rugs that are less flexible, handmade rugs made with natural fibers will always go back to its natural state.
A very small initial shedding should be expected but will subside with time.
The best solution is to find a professional that will hand-wash your rug with a pH-balanced shampoo and a brush, and allow the to dry naturally. This is how it is usually done in the traditional manner and this method will help keep your rug in top shape for the years to come.
